Netanyahu stated that "Israel is fighting against barbarians"

Netanyahu said the war his country is waging against Hamas has support among allies in the Western world because it is "a war of humanity against barbarians."
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israel Defence Forces are waging a "war against barbarians" and that the West understands this, which is why support for Israel is growing. He made this statement on Saturday, 28 October, during a press conference, The Times of Israel reported.
He emphasised that those who accuse Israeli soldiers of atrocities are liars and hypocrites and pointed out that they are doing everything possible so that civilians in the Gaza Strip do not suffer.
In particular, he noted that Tel Aviv has several times called on civilians to leave the north of the enclave for southern Gaza.
The IDF is the most moral army in the world. The IDF does everything to avoid harming non-combatants," Netanyahu noted.
At the same time, he pointed out that Hamas covers itself with civilians as a shield and places its fighters in hospitals, schools, government buildings in Gaza, taking away people's fuel, medicine, food.
Netanyahu noted that civilised countries understand who Israel is fighting against and pointed to the solidarity visits of the leaders of the United States, Britain, Italy, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Greece, Cyprus, etc.
Our allies in the Western world and our partners in the Arab world know that if we don't win, they will be next in a campaign of conquest and murder," he said.
The prime minister said Israel now faces the question of survival or death.
There are times when a nation faces two paths - to exist or to cease to exist. We are now in such a test," the prime minister emphasised.
Netanyahu added that Israel is prepared for this war to be "long and hard," and assured that his country "will fight and will not back down."
He added that Israel's war aims are clear: "the destruction of Hamas's military and leadership capabilities, as well as bringing the hostages home.
We have eliminated countless murderers, including mass murderers. We have destroyed countless headquarters and terrorist infrastructure. We are only at the beginning of the journey," he said.
The Israel Defence Forces said it continued ground operations in the Gaza Strip on Saturday, targeting several militants and Hamas positions.
