Various intermediary companies are helping Russia to obtain components despite the sanctions.

This was reported by Reuters.

For example, between April and November, the US and a number of European countries supplied Russia with $777m worth of chips, including components from Intel, AMD, Texas Instruments, Analog Devices and Infineon. For this purpose, intermediary firms registered in Turkey and Hong Kong were set up in March 2022.

According to Russian customs data, one company alone exported $20 million worth of components to Russia

Estonia is also helping to circumvent Russian sanctions. Elmec Trade, based in Tallinn, shipped at least $17 million worth of goods to Russia between April 1 and October 31.
