The party chairman bullied wounded soldier in the hospital because of his post in Facebook

Another scandal in the People's Servant party: MP Galina Yanchenko, who is also the party's deputy chairman, has left its ranks after the chairman of the Servants, Olena Shulyak, went to the hospital the other day to see wounded fighter Oleh Symoroz - he criticized her bill on his Facebook page.

This is how Simoroz later wrote about the incident on his social media page:

It's been three days, but I still find it hard to believe that the head of the ruling party of "servants" stormed into my military hospital to have it out with a serviceman who left his two legs in the Donbass and is in serious condition. But it happened!

I will immediately deny the possible "alibi" of Olena Shulyak that this was supposedly not a clarification of relations but that she just suddenly decided to visit me. My mother was most surprised not even by the fact that the chairman of the ruling party did not ask whether I needed any help (we wouldn't take help from such people anyway), but that she even did not ask about my well-being and whether I could speak to her at all when she came. She came without any permission or even warning me or my relatives.

"A thief's hat is on fire" - this is what it looks like when a lobbyist of the construction mafia comes running to the military hospital to clear things up, after my message about her anti-people bill and agreement with OPWDD was widely circulated on social networks.

Galina Yanchenko decided to write her resignation letter after such an act by the party chairman:

The act of Olena Shulyak in relation to the wounded fighter is the bottom. To come to the defender in the hospital, not to visit, not to support - but to clarify relations on her corrupt bill - is a spit in the face of all our soldiers, all the volunteers, all who risk their lives on the front lines for the victory of our country. A person holding a public office has no right to do that! From the word at all, - so commented her decision, the MP.

As a reminder of the prehistory of the events, the Verkhovna Rada passed in general the bill no. 5655 to reform the sphere of urban planning. This bill was actively promoted by Shulyak.

The bill was criticized by many mayors of Ukrainian cities.

In fact, this is a draft law which completely nullifies the cities' control over construction and creates conditions for the monopolistic centralized admission of developers to the market. And those who come in will be allowed to create a private control body for city planning activities without the influence of the state or local self-government! Thus, unauthorized construction becomes fully legalized, violating the rights of both land owners and community residents," commented Kyiv mayor Vitalii Klitschko on the draft.

The Association of Ukrainian Cities (AUC) also strongly opposed it:

Bill No. 5655 creates conditions for monopolistic centralized admission of builders to the market, while those who get in will be allowed to create a private body to control urban planning activities without any influence from the state or local government. Local government control and supervision are destroyed by replacing them with monitoring, which includes only surveillance of unauthorized construction. A construction amnesty and reimbursement of construction costs to unauthorized builders from the local budget are introduced.The rights of owners are violated

Ukrainian military officer, Kiev activist and human rights activist Oleg Symoroz, who blew himself up on a mine and lost both his legs on 21 October, also criticised the scandalous bill on his Facebook page. His post went viral, after which Elena Shulyak appeared in the hospital ward.

The struggle by representatives of local authorities, NGOs and architects against the entry into force of draft law No 5655 continues, and it is possible that Volodymyr Zelenski will return the draft law for revision.
