- Hundreds of policemen from Russia brought into occupied part of Zaporizhzhya region

Russian police officers will be brought to the frontline towns during the day and taken away at night.
The Russians have imported 800 policemen to the occupied Zaporizhzhya Region. This way the Kremlin is trying to strengthen control over the local population, which has a poor attitude towards the occupiers, Melitopol mayor Ivan Fyodorov has said.
The Russians are introducing a model of a police state in Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories," he pointed out.
At the same time, he pointed out that local policemen who had defected to the occupants "disappointed" their new bosses. They are trying either to resign or run away to Crimea. Therefore new policemen have started to look for them in Russia.
Visiting policemen are going to be taken to work in Tokmak, Polohy and Vasylivka, and taken to a safer place for the night - they are afraid of partisans," Fedorov added.
The city mayor explained that the occupiers are once again scaring the residents with another "order watchers" and prisons in an attempt to entrench obedience.
We would like to point out that on 25 February 2022, Russian troops entered Melitopol, from which Ukrainian troops had retreated a day earlier. Two days after Russia started invading Ukraine, Russian troops seized Berdyansk port, and the next day they occupied the city of Berdyansk.
