Military pilot called Karaya Zelensky awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine


Vadim Voroshilov, call sign Karaya, destroyed enemy missiles and drones over the Vinnitsa region.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has issued a decree awarding the title of Hero of Ukraine to Major Voroshylov Vadym Oleksandrovych with the Order of the Gold Star.
The Decree of the President said:
For personal courage and heroism shown in defending the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service to the Ukrainian people.
While on a combat mission, his aircraft was damaged. The pilot heroically led it away from a populated area and then ejected. A few days later he returned to the place where the aircraft had crashed:
On the fourth day after the ejection, I visited the scene, apologised for the discomfort caused to the residents of the mass, thanked them for their nerves of steel, the comprehensive assistance they provided during the evacuation and their faith in the AFU!" the pilot later wrote on Instagram.
