Counter-attacks in the east are already taking place - Malyar

Anna Malyar has said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are conducting counteroffensives in eastern Ukraine. However, she urged not to reduce the counteroffensive to any active offensive actions and specific dates.
Deputy Defence Minister Anna Malyar made this statement during a TV marathon.
We should not publicly reduce the counter-offensive to just some active offensive actions, because we are talking about the strategic goal of the Ukrainian armed forces to liberate all our territories. We are aiming to liberate territory and aiming to stop the enemy in their offensive actions. That is why it is incorrect to talk narrowly about a counteroffensive," Malyar said.
According to her, a counter-offensive consists of a number of measures. In particular, preparation of equipment, people, preparation of the reserve, formation of tactics.
The AFU is not currently preparing something in one particular direction, and one must understand that the AFU is preparing for a full liberation of our territories every day, not just a counteroffensive," the spokeswoman added.
She clarified that the AFU's plans depend on the Ukrainian army's capabilities and information on the state of the enemy.
