Financial assistance to Ukraine requires the agreement of representatives of all 27 countries.

This was reported by Bloomberg citing its own sources.

Hungarian Finance Minister Mihály Varga told his colleagues at the Brussels summit that he would not support granting Ukraine a financial aid package for 2023.

Granting financial assistance to Ukraine requires the agreement of representatives of all 27 EU countries and it is not yet possible to bypass the Hungarian position.

The European Union is to propose today a new mechanism for granting Ukraine 18 billion euro in financial aid.
