Germany rules out easing sanctions against Russia

Such a move would leave Germany vulnerable to blackmail, according to German diplomacy.
The League writes about this with reference to the words of the German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock.
She said that such a move by official Berlin would still not guarantee the supply of Russian gas, and at the same time would make Germany "doubly vulnerable to blackmail."
She again assured that Germany would support Ukraine "as long as it needs it."
According to the head of German diplomacy, the easing of sanctions for those who “violate international law in the most cruel way” will be tantamount to “an invitation [to repeat the actions of the Russian Federation] to everyone who tramples on human rights, freedom and democracy.”
