Experts name Ukraine's most mined region

Kherson Region, among all the de-occupied territories of Ukraine, has turned out to be the most mined by Russian invaders, National Police Chief Ihor Klymenko has said on his Facebook page.

He said that sapper police units have already inspected almost 450 hectares of the liberated territories of the region and seized more than 3.5 thousand explosive objects:

At the same time, he noted that the presence of police units in Kherson region was made possible precisely as a result of effective work of explosive ordnance disposal teams

Klymenko noted that many residents of the region remain in their homes and therefore need security.

According to him, seven police units have resumed their work in the liberated territories of the region, four of which are in Kherson itself. A total of 850 police officers are on duty in the city.

In addition, specialized investigation and operation teams are working to document war crimes committed by Russian servicemen and their henchmen. So far, 578 such crimes have been recorded in Kherson Region.
