Defence forces caught in operational encirclement in Donetsk region - DeepState

According to the DeepState analytical project, the Ukrainian defence forces have found themselves operationally encircled near Annivka, being in the so-called "Uspenivka sack". The main nodal points of this area, including Elizavetivka, Romanovka, Vesely Hai and Annivka, are under constant attacks by the enemy, which is trying to break through from different sides. Key defensive positions are held in the settlements of Trudovoye, Uspenovka and Dalneye, where intense fighting is taking place.

It is reported that Russian troops have already been repeatedly fixed in Uspenovka, continuing to storm the locality. The Ukrainian military is conducting mop-up operations, but it has not yet been possible to completely dislodge the enemy due to the growing number of enemy infantry. Moreover, the enemy is actively manoeuvring between Uspenovka and Annivka, creating a threat of complete encirclement of the Ukrainian Defence Forces units. Despite this, the Ukrainian side continues to work on stabilising the situation, and there is a possibility that the enemy will not be able to gain a final foothold.

Experts express concern about the current situation. Platoon commander of the 24th separate assault brigade "Aidar" Stanislav Bunyatov emphasised that the situation of the Ukrainian soldiers is close to critical, as the communication routes to the villages to the southeast are limited by drone fire control and enemy artillery. Activist Serhiy Sternenko noted that the current situation requires immediate action to rescue the encircled fighters, as delay may lead to loss of control.

Meanwhile, Russian troops are continuing their offensive on Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, having approached the town at a distance of less than 10 kilometres. According to reserve colonel Sergei Grabsky, if the enemy manages to advance further, it could allow them to reach the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region, which opens up new opportunities to use drones and other weapons in more open terrain.

The situation requires immediate and coordinated action on the part of both the command and the entire defence sector to prevent the situation from deteriorating in this direction.
