Because of the Russian attack on the city of Sumy in the morning of 28 September, eight people were killed and 11 others injured. This is stated in a statement by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
Sumy. Russia hit "Shaheds" on one of the hospitals in the city. Now it is known about eight dead. My condolences to the families and loved ones. 11 people are wounded, 113 patients have been evacuated from the hospital," the president said.
According to the President, the rescue operation continues.
We are eliminating the consequences, saving lives. We are doing our best to provide our people with the necessary help," he added.
Zelensky emphasised that everyone in the world who talks about this war should pay attention to where Russia is hitting - the occupiers are fighting hospitals, civilian objects, people's lives.
Only force can compel Russia to peace. Peace through force is the only right way. Thank you to everyone who is helping us on this path," he added.
