China to support Ukraine peace conference under certain conditions

China will support the format of the peace conference, which will be recognised by Ukraine and the Russian Federation.
China will support a peace conference that will unite all sides and be recognised by Ukraine and Russia. Chinese President Xi Jinping said this after talks with French President Emmanuel Macron. The speech was broadcast by the Elysee Palace.
We support the organisation of an international peace conference recognised by the Russian Federation and Ukraine, which will unite all sides on equal terms and allow for an honest discussion of all peace plans," Xi Jinping said.
In his opinion, the conference "should fairly consider all settlement options."
According to Xi Jinping, China supports building a "balanced, effective and lasting European security architecture."
Also, Xi Jinping supported the idea of ending armed conflicts in the world for the duration of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Emmanuel Macron said after the talks that Chinese authorities have pledged to refrain from selling any weapons to Russian Federation and will control its exports of dual-use goods.
I thank you for this moment of coordination, which you wanted before Vladimir Putin's visit to China, which will also allow us to have a common agenda and to be able to determine the willingness or unwillingness to move towards this sustainable world," Macron said.
Macron said the West has no plans for regime change in Moscow. Macron also said that France is not at war with Russia:
Without security for Ukraine, there can be no security for Europe. However, we are not in the same boat with Ukraine," he said.
At the same time Macron specified that it is necessary to ensure security in Ukraine.
We will remind, Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in France with a two-day visit. He said that China intends to cooperate with France and the international community to find a solution to the "Ukrainian crisis".
