British King Charles III sent a message to Ukrainians on the occasion of Independence Day


The Ukrainian president said that the British monarch's words had become "a true inspiration for our people".
British King Charles III has sent a touching message to Ukraine in honour of Independence Day, in which he stressed the need for a "just and lasting peace" to end the war. This message of the British monarch was published by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in social networks.
I continue to have the greatest and deepest admiration for the indestructible courage and spirit of the Ukrainian people. I hope that our countries can continue to work closely together to achieve a just and strong peace in Ukraine," the message reads.
Zelensky noted that the words of the British monarch had become "a true inspiration for our people" and expressed gratitude to the UK for its support.
We appreciate the leadership of the United Kingdom in supporting Ukraine and our just cause: defending freedom from tyranny and ensuring lasting peace in Ukraine and across Europe," the president stressed.
