Authorities say how many people killed by Russians in a year in de-occupied Kherson region


A year ago, Ukrainian defenders liberated Kherson from Russian invaders.
During the year, Russians killed 405 people, including ten children, in the territories of Kherson Region liberated from them. This was reported by the head of the OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, on air during a telethon. He pointed out that we are talking about the constant shelling of the territories by the invaders.
He pointed out that another 1705 people, among them 72 children, were injured.
During this year after de-occupation, law enforcers recorded more than 18 thousand criminal offences against peace, security and international law. Three people were convicted in these cases, while 62 others reported suspicion. There have been more than 1,500 cases of kidnapping of Ukrainians, of which the Russians are still holding at least 853 people," he informed.
He also pointed out that as the territories were liberated from the enemy, Ukrainian defenders found torture chambers, which were created in abundance by the Russians for Ukrainians. In total, such for the year found - 11.
As the Office of the Prosecutor General reports in Telegram, the largest two torture centres were set up by Russians in Kherson.
On the facts of their arrangement and kidnapping of people reported suspicion of 27 persons. As for 23 - indictments have been sent to court," the Prosecutor General's Office said.
It added that cases of abduction and disappearance of more than 1.5 thousand citizens of the region have been recorded. At least 753 people are still illegally held by the occupants.
The Prosecutor's office stressed that in total for the year on the territory of the region was recorded more than 18 thousand criminal offences against peace, security of mankind and international order.
