Aggravation between Armenia and Azerbaijan. What is happening there

The Armenian Defense Ministry says that on September 13, at about 00:05, the Azerbaijani army allegedly opened fire from artillery, mortars and drones on Armenian positions and civilian infrastructure at the borders. On the Armenian side, there are dead.

In turn, Azerbaijan denies all accusations of starting a fire, calls such reports "absurd" and claims that the Azerbaijani army, in response to the alleged large-scale provocation of Armenia, is implementing local countermeasures and neutralizing firing points.

Pashinyan has already contacted Putin. The parties agreed on operational communication. Then Pashinyan spoke about the situation to Macron.

After that, a message appeared about holding a meeting of the Security Council of Armenia - Yerevan decided to apply to the CSTO, to the Russian Federation for the implementation of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, as well as to the UN Security Council.

Pashinyan also spoke with Blinken. Washington is deeply concerned about reports of active hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
