A company commander, whose subordinate went home but continued to receive combat pay, will stand trial. Thus, the woman illegally received more than 600 thousand hryvnias.
This was reported by the State Investigation Bureau.
An indictment has been sent to court against the company commander of one of the military units of Donetsk Region.
It is established that in January 2022, before the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, the servicewoman arbitrarily left the place of service in the territory of Donetsk region, - reported in the DBI.
In turn, the commander did not report the absence of the subordinate, thanks to which she did not stop the accrual of monthly basic and additional allowances, including combat pay.
It is noted that the full amount of damage caused to the state has already been compensated.
Thecommander of the company is accused of negligent attitude to service, which led to serious consequences, committed in conditions of a special period (part 3 of article 425 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He faces imprisonment for up to 7 years.
