Most of the large-scale forest fires were caused by the occupants. Firefighters work under constant shelling.
More than 2,300 hectares of forests are burning in Kharkiv region, most of the fires were caused by Russian shelling. This is reported by the State Emergency Situations Service.
Rescuers of the State Emergency Service are now extinguishing 18 forest fires in Kharkiv region. It was possible to localise 9 forest fires on an area of 141 hectares.
To work in the hellish forests of Kharkiv region also involved sappers and medics of the State emergency service, - stated in the message.
Firefighters are working in extremely difficult conditions, being under constant enemy attacks.
Extinguishing fires is very complicated by the fact that areas of forests in frontline areas are mined and contaminated with unexploded ordnance.
Earlier Socialportal reported that in Kharkiv region there are almost no places left that could be safe.
In some areas of the region announced a mandatory evacuation of children, which will last 60 days.
