From the first day of the grain initiative until today, Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tons of agricultural products to 38 countries.

This was announced by Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov, who wrote on his Facebook page:

The Initiative for the safe transportation of agricultural products across the Black Sea has been extended for another 120 days, a decision only taken in Istanbul. The United Nations and Turkey remained guarantors of the Initiative's implementation.

Kubrakov also said that Ukraine has made a proposal to extend the Initiative for at least 1 year and to include the port of Nikolaev in it. So far a response from the partners is awaited.

According to the Minister, from August 1, beginning of Grain Initiative until now Ukraine has exported more than 11 million tons of agricultural products to 38 countries.

It should be recalled that the grain agreement was signed in Istanbul on 22 July and is valid for 120 days from the date of its signing until 19 November. It envisages unblocking the operation of three Ukrainian ports, Odessa, the Black Sea and the Yuzhny port, for the export of Ukrainian food products. The agreement can be automatically extended unless one of the signatories states its desire to change or terminate it.
