Zelenski says when Ukraine will join NATO and the EU

Zelensky criticised the "pessimistic" forecasts of world leaders who say it will take at least 10 years for Ukraine to become a full member of the EU.
Ukraine may become an EU member in as little as two years, with our country joining NATO after it wins, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during his speech at a summit organized by JP Morgan bank.
Today there are some pessimists among world leaders who believe that Ukraine needs 10 years for EU membership. But they mostly know us and are sometimes even afraid of our spirit, our energy. So we see that we can be in the EU in two years. And we need security guarantees", said the head of state.
Zelenskyy said that the best guarantee for Ukraine would be NATO membership and expressed confidence that this would happen in the near future.
We believe that we will be in NATO before all the leaders decide that our package of security guarantees is correct. Because they make a decision slowly, this is bureaucracy... And I believe that after we win, we will be in NATO," Zelenskyy said.
We would like to point out that the Ukrainian authorities are trying to intensify processes regarding the country's possible membership of the EU and NATO.
