Zelensky talks about condition under which AFU can leave Bakhmut

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a press conference with Polish leader Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

According to Zelenskyy, the situation in Bakhmut remains the most difficult on the front. The most diverse weaponry is used in this direction.

That is, success in some blocks of Bakhmut - we go forward, or it is not there and we withdraw again. But we are in Bakhmut and the enemy does not control Bakhmut," Zelenskyy said.

The president stressed that the main goal of defending the city is to retain personnel. Therefore, if the situation becomes more complicated, Oleksandr Syrskyy, who controls this direction, will resolve the issue on the spot.

Of course, for him the main thing is to preserve the personnel, for me the most important thing is not to lose our troops. And if there is a moment of even more heated events and the danger that we might lose personnel due to encirclement - surely there will be appropriate correct decisions of the general on the spot," the Ukrainian president said.
