The security service in Transcarpathia has exposed a businessman who cooperated with Russia during the war. He helped the aggressor to produce high-tech equipment for warships.

This was reported by the SBU press service.

Thanks to the raw materials supplied by the suspect, the Russians produced radar stations for warships. We are talking about deliveries of refractory raw materials, which is necessary for the smelting of steel and its further use for the production of radar systems for Russian ships.

The illegal activity was organised by an entrepreneur from Zakarpattia. To implement the transaction, he travelled to one of the European countries, from where he transported the raw materials allegedly for customers from the Middle East. In fact, the defendant transported the purchased products through the territory of Belarus to his buyers in Russia," reported in the SBU.

Raw materials were transported by lorries, which belonged to the trucking company of the attacker in the EU. Thus, more than UAH 12 million worth of raw materials was delivered to Russia.

One of the customers was the largest Russian enterprise - Nizhny Lipetsk Metallurgical Plant, which produces steel.

In the future, the Russians sent this alloy to the sub-sanctioned Russian company Izumrud, which produces radar equipment for the aggressor's warships," the report said.

Law enforcers also documented the supply of raw materials to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

To disguise the criminal activity of the entrepreneur entered false information in the international consignment notes, namely data on the routes of transport and customers of products. However, the documentation with evidence of transactions was found during searches in the offices of the suspect in Transcarpathia.

The director of the company was reported on suspicion under part 4 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - conducting economic activities in co-operation with the aggressor state, including the occupation administration of the aggressor state.

At the moment, the perpetrator is hiding abroad. Complex measures to bring him to justice continue.
