Volodymyr Zelensky reminded about the need for air defense for Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelenskyy separately stressed that the delay in the supply of air defense systems is the lost lives of Ukrainians.
This was stated by the President of Ukraine at a meeting with the head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
Air defense and missile defense is a priority for us. We started talking, and there is a positive result on deliveries of (US-Norwegian system) NASAMS and (German) IRIS-T. From Germany, we expect several systems, so far we have not received a single one. Same as from the USA. But, nevertheless, this partially closes the issue of the lack of air defense systems, he said.
The head of state stressed that "closing the sky" from missile attacks would be a key factor in ensuring the security of Ukraine, and he counts on the fulfillment of his obligations by two partner states - the United States and Germany.
However, Ukraine's negotiations are not limited to just two partners, Zelensky added:
In addition, we are also determined to work with France and Italy. I am also determined and have not yet received a positive reaction from Israel.
