Nine Ukrainian children who were in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine have been returned home.
This was reported by the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmytro Lubinets.
Ukraine has managed to bring home 9 Ukrainian children! The stories of these children are impressive. I have repeatedly noted that each return is like a special operation. After all, the fates of the children are different, but each of them had to go through trials," the ombudsman wrote in Telegram.
According to him, two children were in the temporarily occupied territories away from their parents for a long time. In addition, they managed to return the boy, whom the occupants accused of blowing up the bridge.
We managed to bring back to our homeland a guy who was accused by the Russians of blowing up a bridge, was kept in prison and interrogated for a month. He went through all the circles of hell, including filtration. But now he is with his mum, in Ukraine," Lubinets said.
He also emphasised that he could not make public many details of the return. However, shared a photo with children and their parents.
