Ukraine issued a commemorative coin "Military Intelligence of Ukraine" (video, photo)
To the Day of Military Intelligence of Ukraine the National Bank of Ukraine has put into circulation a commemorative coin "Military Intelligence of Ukraine" on 05 September 2023.
The coin is dedicated to heroic spy soldiers, who reliably stand in defence of Ukraine's national interests. This is reported by the press service of the NBU.
The new commemorative coin was presented by the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Andriy Pyshnyy and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Major-General Kirill Budanov.
On the obverse of the coin in the centre is the emblem of the Main Directorate of Intelligence. On the reverse - in a circle inscriptions: Military Intelligence UKRAINE and the slogan of military intelligence in Latin SAPIENS DOMINABITUR ASTRIS ("The wise will rule over the stars"), in the centre: on the background of the globe image of an owl, which penetrates the sword outlines of the territory of the aggressor country (on the hilt of the sword depicts Trident - a small State Emblem of Ukraine).
It will be possible to buy the commemorative coin "Military Intelligence of Ukraine" from 6 September 2023 in the online shop of numismatic products of the National Bank. A total of 10 thousand commemorative coins will be sold through the online shop, all of them will be available from the first day of sale.
In addition, the coins will be gradually sold by distributor banks (JSC JSB "UKRGAZBANK", JSC "JSB "RADABANK", JSC "TASCOMBANK", JSC CB "PrivatBank") as they are shipped by the Banknote and Mint of the NBU.
Commemorative coin "Military Intelligence of Ukraine" has a nominal value of 5 hryvnia, weight - 16.5 g, diameter - 35.0 mm. Circulation - up to 75,000 pieces. The coin design is by Tetyana Baluta; sculptor - Volodymyr Demyanenko.
