This afternoon, the Russian army shelled the town of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region. As a result of the strike, 16 people were killed.
The number of wounded and injured has increased, the deputy head of the Office of the President, Aleksei Kuleba, said in Telegram.
As of now, 16 dead are already known, while 34 more are wounded and traumatised. All emergency services and military administration are working on the site. All necessary assistance is provided to the victims," he wrote.
Also in the Office of the Prosecutor General revealed the details of the shelling. In particular, it is known that the frontline city was attacked around 16:00. As a result of hitting shells started a fire.
According to preliminary data, 20 shops, power lines, administrative building and the 5th floor of a residential building were damaged. Cars and 8 commercial facilities were burnt to the ground," the Office of the Prosecutor General said.
Law enforcers have started proceedings on the fact of violation of laws and customs of war. A search and rescue operation is ongoing.
