Russia says Putin may be threatened with physical elimination

Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov believes Washington was hatching plans to physically eliminate Putin.
US officials, and President Joe Biden personally, have repeatedly said that they do not seek to overthrow Putin's regime.
Washington has hatched plans to physically eliminate the Russian president, UNIAN has reported.
Lavrov spoke about the physical elimination of Putin:
Going further than others, Washington has gone further: some unnamed Pentagon officials there have actually threatened to launch a "decapitation strike" on the Kremlin, essentially talking about threatening to physically eliminate the Russian head of state. If such ideas are in fact hatched by someone, that someone should think very hard about the possible consequences of such plans.
In fact, Lavrov was probably commenting on a Newsweek article published on 29 September that outlined possible options for the global community to respond to the Kremlin's nuclear threats.
