The OPU threatened with criminal liability the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania
Ex-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania called for the division of Ukraine.
Former Romanian Foreign Minister Andrei Marga must understand the prospect of criminal liability for his calls to divide Ukraine. This was stated by adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak on Twitter .
The "agent crisis" prompts Russia to get even the most forgotten political naphthalene out of the closet. If the Romanian Mr. Marga makes his statements "with all responsibility", then he must also understand the prospect of criminal liability. For encroaching on the integrity and sovereignty of another state,” he wrote.
Recall, former Romanian Foreign Minister Andrei Marga, positioning himself as a political scientist, said that Ukraine should cede territory to Russia and three neighbors.
We are in an absolutely exceptional situation, and I say with all responsibility that Ukraine is within unnatural borders. It must cede the territories of Hungary (Transcarpathia), Poland (Galicia), Romania (Bukovina) and Russia (Donbass and Crimea). These are territories of other countries,” he said.
In turn, official Bucharest called the call of former Foreign Minister Andrei Marga for the division of Ukraine contrary to the official position of the country and the basic principles of international law, writes News.ro.
These statements are in blatant contradiction with the official position of Romania regarding Russia's illegal, unjustified and unprovoked aggression against Ukraine, as well as with the basic principles of international law that govern international relations today, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry assured that it categorically rejects the position of Marga, who "accepts, encourages and propagates malicious narratives spread by the Russian Federation" and supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders.
