Ukraine launches new border crossing system in October

In October, testing of the electronic queue at border checkpoints will be launched.
The Ministry of Infrastructure will launch a website for an electronic queue at border checkpoints in October, and an application will appear by the end of the year. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Mustafa Nayem in his Telegram channel.
The system will provide for integration with customs databases for preliminary cargo prioritization. The system will be able to independently manage the flow of goods depending on the group of goods according to the data of the preliminary customs declaration,” Mustafa Nayem noted.
The system will independently determine the priority for cargo, it will be completely free for carriers.
The use of e-queuing will be completely free for carriers. No mandatory visits to service areas. No human intervention in the system,” Nayem said.
We are aware that an electronic queue by itself does not solve the issue of cargo downtime. It depends solely on the capacity of the border crossing points. But winter is ahead. Waiting in line along the roads in the cold is, firstly, uncomfortable, and secondly, it leads to additional costs for drivers,” Nayem emphasized.
