A mural in support of Ukraine appeared in New York

The illustration incorporates the iconic elements of New York, such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State and Chrysler skyscrapers, the Brooklyn Bridge, a yellow taxi and a hot dog cart, etc.
But all together they form a trident, the silhouette of which can be recognized from afar.
The mural is located at the intersection of 1st Avenue and 14th Street. And it was created by Ukrainian filmmaker and artist Sasha Danilenko
We have entered the phase of a protracted war, and the world should not lose its attention to Ukraine and stop in help and support. This mural is both gratitude and a reminder of the need to help Ukraine, which you can join by scanning a QR code. I hope that this will be the beginning of a series of murals on other cities where there is a powerful movement to support Ukraine. Seattle is next in line, Danilenko said.

The project was created in cooperation with Razom for Ukraine, one of the largest volunteer organizations of Ukrainians in the USA.
Recall that at one time Sasha Danilenko created many animated music videos for such groups as DakhaBrakha, TNMK, Kalush, Alyona Alyona and others. In his works, Oleksandr combines elements of Ukrainian folklore along with digitalization and modern technologies.

In the USA Sasha works on animadoc style projects for TED, School of Life, TOPIC, Ukrainian Institute of America and many others.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Sashko has been working on illustrative and media projects to promote Ukrainian culture and spread stories of the courage and humanity of the Ukrainian people. His works are part of international exhibitions and events and help raise funds for humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
