NATO says ready for confrontation with Russia

The head of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, said this in an interview with the Portuguese RTP.

The admiral notes that he does not believe in nuclear war:

I think Vladimir Putin is not crazy, and that's good news. He has ideas that don't match our ideas, but he's not crazy, which means he's still a rational person.

NATO is ready for a direct confrontation with Russia, but the Alliance must rearm in order to do so.

We shall remind you that earlier German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that NATO troops will not take direct part in the war in Ukraine and will never enter its territory.
