A new film, Avatar: The Way of the Water, the sequel to the acclaimed 2008 film Avatar, premiered in London today on the eve of its global theatrical release.
james Cameron, the director and screenwriter, has spent 14 years working on a sequel which will see a total of four sequels being released, making the story an epic saga.
At the London premiere, held at one of the cinemas in Leicester Square, Cameron himself appeared on the blue carpet, as well as the main actors - Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver and Kate Winslet.




The new Avatar - just like the original 2009 film - takes place on the planet Pandora, where the existence of the indigenous Na'vi people is threatened.
The first Avatar was remembered by audiences around the world first and foremost for its visuals and visual beauty. In addition, Avatar still holds the record at the box office, having grossed almost $3 billion at the global box office.
