In the Kyiv region extended the curfew for another week
15:25, 06.08.2022

At night, walking on the street at this time is prohibited.

In the Kyiv region, the curfew was extended from August 7 to August 14 inclusive. It will operate every day from 23:00 to 05:00. You can be outside at night only if you have a special pass and documents that confirm your identity. This was recalled in the Kiev regional military administration.

They also reminded that during the curfew, most citizens are forbidden to be on the street and in other public places, as well as to travel by transport or on foot.

According to the Law of Ukraine "On the Legal Regime of Martial Law" (Article 8, paragraph 5), a curfew is a ban on staying on the streets and in public places during a certain period of the day without special passes and certificates.

According to the Law, in the event of a violation of the CC, the commandant's patrol has the right to:

  • find out the identity of the detainee;
  • carry out inspection of belongings, transport, luggage and cargo, office premises and even housing of the detainee;
  • use physical force, weapons and special equipment against offenders;
  • to detain police units of persons;
  • seize items that are an instrument, means or subject of an offense;

Violators of the CC can be fined. The Verkhovna Rada has registered a draft law on amending the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine to introduce administrative liability for violating curfew under martial law (No. 7553).

The document provides that violation of the curfew entails a warning or a fine from 30 to 50 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 510 to UAH 850). If such actions were committed by a person repeatedly, then the citizen must pay a fine of 100 to 200 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens (from UAH 1,700 to UAH 3,400).
