Body of a man tortured by occupiers exhumed in Kharkiv region

59-year-old Yuri Krivich was a businessman, an ardent supporter of Ukraine. This did not please some locals. Neighbours reported that on 27 April last year he was taken away by the Russian military from the so-called "LNR", a day later the man's body was found in the yard, - said the police.

The deceased was buried on 2 May 2022. His brother agreed to the exhumation in order to learn about the true cause of death of a relative.

According to Anna Ponomarenko, senior investigator for especially important cases of the Kharkiv police investigation department, there is no doubt that it was the Russian military who committed the crime. The events unfolded during the occupation and witnesses point to this.
