The Institute for the Study of War believes that the victory in Kherson will not be the last

The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said:

Ukraine owns the initiative and is in the process of securing a big victory in Kherson. The ceasefire will give the Kremlin the pause it desperately needs to rebuild Russian forces. The big Ukrainian victory that continues in the Kherson region will not be the last.

Also ISW reports in its briefing that winter weather will not lead to a lull in the war:

Autumn and spring mud can slow down a military offensive - as can faulty or lack of winter equipment. Some military equipment may need to adapt to colder weather, and lack of equipment or ammunition can indeed lead to a slowed offensive because of logical difficulties - but not winter weather.

Experts believe that winter can do much more damage to poorly equipped Russian forces in Ukraine, but a well-equipped Ukrainian military is unlikely to halt counteroffensives because of the arrival of winter.

Meanwhile, the seventh meeting of the Contact Group on Ukrainian Defence ("Ramstein"), involving more than 50 countries, will take place next Wednesday, the Pentagon has said.
