The GSD explained why the Russian Federation began to attack Odessa region more often

In recent weeks, the occupiers have intensified night strikes in Odessa region.
Russian invaders have become more frequent in attacking Odessa Region. We are talking about missile and drone attacks. This was pointed out by a representative of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Andriy Yusov.
"The main reason for these attacks is the negotiations on the 'grain corridor'," he pointed out.
Yusov stressed that as negotiations on the grain corridor continue at different levels, Russia is trying to destroy the Ukrainian port infrastructure at the same time, thus forcing Ukraine to accept the terms of the deal imposed by Moscow.
He pointed out that for the Russian Federation the prerogative of such agreements is to export its grain and that which was stolen in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Ukraine's plans for export are a hindrance for the Kremlin.
They realise that they will not be able to exclude Ukraine completely, but the destruction of the port infrastructure, according to their logic, solves this issue to a certain extent. They will not get the desired result under any circumstances, but that is the plan," Yusov emphasised.
After the withdrawal from the grain agreement, Russia repeatedly shelled Ukrainian ports and grain depots using food as a weapon of war.
