The State Border Guard Service reported how many men have tried to leave Ukraine since the beginning of the war

Thousands of men have tried to illegally leave Ukraine since the start of the all-out war.
Since the beginning of the war between Ukraine and Russia, almost 5,000 men have tried to illegally leave the territory of Ukraine, spokesman for the State Border Service Andriy Demchenko told Media Center Ukraine-Ukrinform .
He clarified that most often, illegal immigrants tried to pass where there are no checkpoints. In such places, Ukrainian border guards detained 3.5 thousand people. More than a thousand men tried to leave the country on forged documents.
Every day, dozens of Ukrainians of military age are trying to illegally leave the country.
Almost every day, border guards refuse to leave about a hundred men subject to martial law restrictions, Demchenko said.
Note that according to the law, during martial law, men aged 18-60 do not have the right to leave Ukraine, but there are exceptions, for example: truck drivers; men carrying humanitarian supplies; unfit for military service for health reasons; students; athletes; parents with many children with three or more minor children; single parents.
From February 24, when the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine began, 7.4 million people left the country until June 9. Subsequently, 2.4 million turned back. Such data are provided by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
