In the city of Leipzig, unknown people tried to set fire to a kindergarten and a house where refugees from Ukraine studied and lived.

The house was set on fire with a flammable liquid, and the kindergarten was set on fire with incendiary devices. Bild reports .

The fire did not spread to the kindergarten, but only damaged the door.

Police have launched an investigation, do not rule out a connection between the two arsons.

Due to the spatial proximity, we do not exclude that there is a connection between these two crimes. Now we are studying the testimony of eyewitnesses, interviewing local residents, looking for recordings from cameras and checking social networks,” said Tom Bernhardt, spokesman for the German criminal police.
