In Bakhmut, Russians switch from armoured strikes to endless waves of infantry - Peter Chernik

The fighting at Ugledar and Bakhmut shows that the Russians are shifting their focus from big armoured fighters to endless waves of infantry.
Colonel Pyotr Chernik, a military analyst, said this at a briefing at the Military Media Centre.
The expert calls such tactics "Classic bugaboo" and adds that Ukrainian forces "would have to grind it all down" to ensure success.
Reaching the Crimean isthmus would be a very successful military operation," said Petro Chernik, commenting on the situation on the southern front.
According to him, such a breakthrough could bring down the entire southern grouping of Russian troops and create logistical problems for them in the eastern direction.
At the same time, one should not underestimate the potential of the enemy," the expert noted, "They have quite a lot of manpower, small arms are also incredibly plentiful.
