IT industry brings record revenues to Ukraine in 2022


The volume of exports increased by $400 million compared to the pre-war year 2021.
This was reported by the IT Ukraine Association.
According to the report, in 2022, the IT-industry provided foreign exchange earnings in the Ukrainian economy by $7.34bn, while exports increased by $400m compared to the prewar year 2021.
As of January 1, 2023 the amount of taxes and duties to the consolidated budget of Ukraine paid by the IT-business is 32.2 billion UAH, which is 4.4 billion UAH and 16% more than last year.
The IT Ukraine Association comments on these results as follows:
For the IT export sector such figures were expected, as companies are successfully implementing measures to maintain business continuity and create conditions for safe working of IT professionals. The figure of more than seven billion dollars from export of computer services is also unique in that it is the largest figure in the history of the Ukrainian IT industry, which was achieved just during the war.
