Unique footage: wild ocelot spotted again in Arizona mountains

Specialists from the Centre for Biological Diversity have published unique footage.
A rare wild ocelot was captured by a camera trap in the isolated mountains of Arizona, USA. This event was a real sensation, as ocelots have not been seen in this region for a long time.
The population of ocelots in the United States is extremely small - there are less than 100 individuals. Mostly these predatory cats live in Texas. The appearance of the ocelot in Arizona has surprised scientists and revived hopes of restoring their numbers in the state.
Ocelots are an important part of the ecosystem and a representative species for assessing habitat health. Their presence indicates a healthy and balanced natural environment. The discovery of the ocelot may stimulate efforts to conserve and restore natural areas in Arizona.
