Ukraine was accepted into the European Film Agency Directors: what does it mean

Our country has joined EFAD (European Film Agency Directors). Let's talk about what it gives.
Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced this in Telegram.
Today the Association EFAD (European Film Agency Directors) unanimously voted for the entry of the State Film Agency of Ukraine. Now in September, the assembly must approve this decision and Goskino will become an associate member of EFAD,” Yermak wrote.
It is reported that membership fees from Ukraine will not be taken for 2-3 years. However, Ukraine will be able to participate in EFAD competitions. This will make it possible to tell the truth about the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine with the help of cinema.
EFAD is a European association of 35 national film and audiovisual agencies based in Brussels. Membership in EFAD covers the countries of the European Union, as well as Iceland, Norway, the Republic of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland and the UK.
