Ukrainians exchanged almost UAH 1 billion for zlotys in Polish banks

This is evidenced by data from Bank Polski.

From March 25 to September 9, 100,000 temporarily displaced Ukrainians exchanged UAH 728 million at Bank Polski branches. It cost 98 million zlotys in Polish money.

The cost of an average exchange transaction was UAH 7,000.

All exchanged hryvnias were transferred by Bank Polski to the regional branches of the National Bank of Poland and then sold to the NBU at the same rate.
