Trump said Ukraine itself "gave the excuse" Putin to start bombing it

The US president is concerned about Ukraine's strikes on Russian military airfields.
US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine, with its latest strikes on Russian military airfields, gave the Kremlin an excuse to launch a massive retaliatory strike. This is reported by the Clash Report agency on social network X.
They gave Putin a reason and he went and bombed the hell out of them. Here's what I didn't like. When I saw this attack, I said: now there will definitely be a response," said the American leader, commenting on the actions of the SBU on the territory of Russia.
At the same time, Trump expressed hope that the situation would not escalate to the level of a nuclear conflict. He admitted that Ukraine's strikes on Russian airfields caused him serious concern.
The head of the White House also stressed the importance of continuing negotiations between Kiev and Moscow, expressing hope that the Kremlin would not withdraw from the dialogue.
In addition, Trump commented on the bill on new sanctions against Russia, which is under consideration by the Senate. According to him, the document is "very tough", and he is going to make the final decision on the new restrictions personally.
