Trump may send PMCs to Ukraine - mass media

Trump is in talks with European countries about sending employees of US private military companies (PMCs) to Ukraine to provide security guarantees.
US private military companies may be deployed in Ukraine. This was reported by The Telegraph citing sources.
According to the newspaper, US private military companies may be deployed in Ukraine as part of a long-term peace plan. Such a plan is being considered together with other options for security guarantees for Kiev, which are being developed by a coalition of countries led by Britain and France.
PMC personnel may be deployed to help rebuild defence lines, build new bases, protect US businesses and US interests in Ukraine as part of the mining deal. In addition, the Telegraph writes, their presence on the territory of the country could become a deterrent to Russia and prevent ceasefire violations.
The publication stresses that the use of PMCs could be a kind of "roundabout manoeuvre" for Trump after his promise not to send regular troops to Ukraine. Such a move will allow to maintain the confidence of supporters of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement, who are strongly opposed to the US military presence in Ukraine, and at the same time demonstrate that the White House remains interested in supporting Kiev and European allies.
The final details of the plan, including air patrols, exercises and naval missions in the Black Sea, could be announced as soon as possible.
On 28 August, the Financial Times reported that the USA would soon present a tentative plan of security guarantees for Ukraine. According to the newspaper's interlocutors, representatives of the US national security and defence agencies told their European counterparts that Washington could provide Western troops with intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance equipment and systems to support Kiev's air security.
