The bear is there, but the girl is not: a toy of a dead child was found at the site of a destroyed house

In Kiev, the tragedy was symbolised by the personal belongings of the victims.
After the missile attack on 28 August, rescuers retrieved children's toys from under the rubble of a house in Darnytskyy district and placed them at the entrance. Among them was a teddy bear, previously captured in photos with two-year-old Angelina and her 24-year-old mother Nadezhda, who died that night.
The photo of the family was shared on Facebook by Pavlina Khotsyanovskaya. The photo shows a mother with her daughter and the very bear that rescuers later found in the ruins.
The happy family is celebrating a birthday. Behind them is the bear, which was pulled out from under the rubble today. Later pulled out Nadia and Angelinochka," she wrote.
Images and the story of the family caused a wave of emotions in social networks: users express condolences and share the pain of irreparable loss.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine in its message noted: "Just yesterday these toys gave joy to children, they were hugged and played with. Where there was the sound of children's laughter, today - tears and pain". The rescuers added: "Every flower brought is a pain, every toy is a memory of four little hearts that stopped beating."
People continue to come to the destroyed house: lay flowers, leave toys and honour the memory of the victims.
Recall, on the night of 28 August, Russia again attacked Kiev with drones and missiles. As a result of the strike killed 23 people, among them - children. A day of mourning has been declared in the capital on 29 August.
