In Kharkiv, all substations and the heating and power centre have been destroyed: repair work continues. Тhis was announced by Kharkiv mayor Ihor Terekhov.

At the same time, he pointed out that about 40% of consumers are already with light, 60% - with heating.

Hourly power cuts have been introduced in the city, - he informed.

Terekhov also noted that water supply and drainage have been restored in almost all houses of citizens.

Power engineers cannot provide stable power supply to the whole city. Very serious damage - destroyed transformer substations and CHPs. But we will work together with the government to supply the entire city with electricity as soon as possible," said Igor Terekhov.

According to the mayor, currently there are 1 million 300 inhabitants in Kharkiv. He noted that there would be no evacuation from the city in connection with the blackout.

Everyone decides for himself: to stay in Kharkiv or to leave. But there is no question of evacuation from the city. Shops work, petrol stations work, pharmacies work, several fitness halls, - noted the mayor.

Note, in order to provide the residents of Kharkiv region, suffering from power and heat blackouts after the next powerful attacks of Russia. Ukrzaliznytsia sent to the region a special train, which has equipment for cooking a large number of meals at the same time. This is reported by the railway carrier.

Ukrzaliznytsia can prepare for the residents of Kharkiv region thousands of portions of food. They will be delivered to hospitals, for internally displaced persons and victims of shelling, - said the carrier.

We will remind, the Russian troops in the morning of 22 March arranged a massive combined strike on Ukraine, using about 150 missiles and drones.

As told the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleg Sinegubov, during the massive shelling in the region was recorded hit 21 missiles. As a result of shelling of Kharkiv, the city was completely de-energised. There were also problems with water supply.
