The search for a French citizen in the Carpathians continues for a week


On 12 January, Yaremche rescuers received a message from a representative of the French Embassy about the missing tourist.
In Ivano-Frankivsk region rescuers continue search operations for a missing French citizen. This was reported by the State Emergency Service on 17 January.
Today three search groups continued the search for the French citizen. Areas of Chernogorskiy ridge (foothills and couloirs of the mountains Breskul-Pozhizhevska-Dantsizh-Turkul), as well as the direction to the lake Nesamovitoe and couloirs between the green and blue route to Mount Hoverla and between Mount Hoverla and Mount Breskul, - said the rescuers.
Also surveyed the route from the village of Bogdan to the mountain Turkul and buildings on the polonina Turkulska Rakhiv district of Zakarpattya region.
The message to the rescuers of Yaremche was received on 12 January from a representative of the Embassy of France in Ukraine that a citizen of France, in the period from 3 to 6 January planned to make a climb from Vorokhta to Mount Hoverla and travel the Carpathians in the direction of the city of Rakhiv in Transcarpathian region.
The last time the missing person made contact was on 3 January.
