The Rada proposes to simplify border crossing with Belarus: what it can be done for

The proposal of the MPs concerns the simplification of crossing the Belarusian-Ukrainian border by Ukrainians through the checkpoint "Mokrany-Domanovo. In particular, it is about reducing bureaucratic barriers, simplifying the issuance of documents, as well as the procedure of admission and clearance at this crossing. As Pavlo Frolov, the head of the VRU HSC on the protection of the GPO, noted, these measures are aimed at creating conditions for the comfortable return of Ukrainians, especially young people. The MPs have already addressed the relevant initiative to Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.

The checkpoint "Mokrany-Domanovo" is currently the only humanitarian corridor and the shortest way to evacuate Ukrainians from the temporarily occupied territories.

Deputy Chairman of the Volyn OVA Roman Romaniuk noted that Kovel is an important transport hub from where one can get to any settlement in Ukraine. This will allow people to stop and decide on their future plans before continuing their movement across the country.
