The General Staff spoke about the situation at the front

As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in the morning report on May 4, Dnepropetrovsk, Kirovograd, Lvov, Vinnitsa, Kiev, Transcarpathian, Odessa and Donetsk regions were subjected to missile strikes.

It is noted that the enemy did not conduct active operations in the Volyn and Polesye directions, and no signs of the formation of offensive groups were found. The situation is similar in the Seversk direction.

In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy shelled Kharkov and the settlement of Protopopovka from artillery and mortars, carried out aerial reconnaissance in the area of Kutuzovka and Aleksandrovka, Barvenkovsky district. Also, the Russian troops tried to conduct offensive operations in the direction of Dovgenkiy, but they were not successful.

In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, the enemy is firing in order to tie down the actions of Ukrainian units.

In the Limansky direction, the Russian army is advancing in the direction of Shandrigolovo and has stepped up aerial reconnaissance.

In addition, the occupiers carried out assault operations in the Popasna area, and the fighting continues. In Mariupol, the Russian occupiers continue to inflict air strikes and carry out a fiery defeat of our positions in the Azovstal area

In the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful assault operations in the direction of Orekhov. It is noted that more than 100 bodies of mobilized servicemen of the 1st Army Corps who died in the Zaporozhye region were delivered to the central morgue of Horlivka.

In the Yuzhnobuzhsky direction, the enemy used artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and tanks along the entire line of collision, and intensified military operations in the Tomina Balka area.

In the Bessarabian direction, the situation remains tense and controlled.

Over the previous day, the Ukrainian military hit seven enemy UAVs and eight cruise missiles (the data is being specified).

On the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past day, 12 enemy attacks were repulsed. Destroyed: six tanks, five artillery systems (three of them - RZSO), 15 units of armored combat vehicles and nine vehicles of the enemy.
