On the evening of March 28, a letter was sent to the editorial mail of the Ukrainian news agency Sotsportal threatening to bring journalists "to account for criminal acts in support of Zelensky's Bandera regime."

Soon the law of the Russian federation and all accomplices of the neo-Nazi regime of Ukraine will come into force in your city. Including employees of the Ukrainian media, will be held accountable for criminal acts in support of Zelensky's Bandera regime. Before it's too late, stop replicating anti-Russian fakes and slander against the Russian military, the letter says.

The letter was sent from Mail.ru mail and signed by a certain Nina Nikonova without specifying information. The Ukrainian city in question is also not indicated.

It was only on the evening of March 25 that the man was returned home. On March 21, in Tokmak, Russian invaders stole Elena Plaksina, deputy of the city council. On March 15, in Berdyansk, the invaders kidnapped the organizer of the rally, Vitaliy Shevchenko. On the morning of March 13, in Dniprorudny, the invaders kidnapped the mayor of the city, Yevgeny Matveev. On March 12, the Russian military detained hromadske journalist Victoria Roshchina. On March 21, she was released from captivity, forcing her to record a video about Russian aggression. On March 12, the coordinator of the rallies in Melitopol, Olga Gaysumova, was also kidnapped. The woman was released from captivity a few days later. On March 11, in Melitopol, armed invaders also kidnapped the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fyodorov. On March 10, in Melitopol, armed Russian soldiers abducted a deputy of the Zaporozhye Regional Council, Leyla Ibragimova, the report said.

In addition, on March 12, in the Kherson region, Kakhovka journalist Oleg Baturin was kidnapped by the military of the Russian Federation in his hometown. In total, as Yury Sobolevsky, the first deputy head of the Kherson Regional Council, noted , the Russian invaders kidnapped at least 30-40 civilians in the region.
